SPONSORHIP |
 |
- Sponsorship money that is raised must incorporate GST. The
amount you raise will have GST deducted and therefore impact on the
money your team is allocated. Businesses that sponsor a team should be
able to claim the GST portion of their sponsorship back on their tax.
- Generally, businesses will only donate If they can acquire a
tax benefit and they need our club to do that, the club is accountable
for the money and the issuing of a tax receipt. Teams need to consider
before they seek sponsorship that 10% of the finance raised for their
team will go directly to the club for future junior development and
equipment.
- The club has the right to determine where money can be
spent. ICFC has an obligation to administer money in a responsible
manner that reflects the values of our club and community. With this in
mind, we provide the following guidelines for how team sponsorship can
be utilised.
- Training Shirts; teams can use funds to purchase training
shirts for their players. The shirts can display the sponsors' logo on
the front or sleeves. Ensure you have accounted for the cost of patches
or printing in the cost of your shirts. To enhance you chances of a
successful sponsorship, let the sponsor know that the players will not
just be wearing their shirts to training but also whenever they go
shopping with their family around Ipswich,
- Polo shirts for coaching staff or other club clothing;
Any supporter products that the club has available can be purchased for
teams. This Includes caps, jackets and shirts. Sponsors logos may be
placed on items. If the club does not have jackets available, the club
can be approached to organise a special order from our sponsors
Struddies,
- Specialised Coaching: Sometimes opportunities become
available to utilise highly accredited coaches from both inside and
outside of the club. If you know of someone who you would like to come
and run a session for your team, then funds can be released from your
sponsorship to cover their costs. Invited coaches must have approval
from ICFC and have a current Blue Card and Coaching license,
- Team Break-ups; End of year break-ups are an approved
expenditure for sponsorship money. Finances can contribute towards
admission to perks, hire costs, food and beverages. Alcohol and other
products which are inappropriate for juniors and prohibited by law are
not acceptable expenditure. Valid tax invoices and receipts will need to
be provided for all expenditure that used for break-ups,
- Any sponsorship finances that are not fully expended by
October 31 will be transferred from the team into junior development and
equipment. It Is the responsibility of the team manager to ensure that
the team requirements for sponsorship finances are utilised by this
date.
ICFC encourages all teams to seek sponsorship from the
various business contacts in their team. It Is our desire to see all
players have the best season they can without their families being
burdened with extra cost.
Sponsorship helps this to happen.
We look forward to your team's sponsorship endeavours and wish you all the best in the coming season.
